Many of us bought one of those new high-tech iPhones for 0 and now the price is suddenly 9 to help boost sluggish sales and to hook all the new customers before the new gPhone comes out by Google? All I can say is that next time a high-priced personal tech item comes in from Apple, I am waiting until the price comes down a month or two later.

Of course, the excuse is that they are cutting price in time for the crucial Holiday Season, which is nearly upon us. I suppose if you wanted one, then now you are happy that it is 0 cheaper and if you bought one for the full price, part of you says that is the premium you pay for being on the personal high-tech edge, but it still irks you.

First adopters of technology always pay a premium and bare the brunt of the R and D costs. The Apple iPhone was so highly successful that they have recouped these upfront costs and can now mass market them worldwide and lower the costs on the iPhone flagship models that are sold in the US, nevertheless there are some rather irate iPhone first adopters out there that feel like they have been betrayed.
